Honeydew honey does not come from flowers, but from honeydew produced by insects on plants.
It has a dark color, ranging from deep amber to almost black, and a strong, rich, slightly resinous flavor, less sweet than floral honeys.
On the nose, vegetal notes are present. It is appreciated for its energizing and mineral properties and pairs well with cheeses, bread, and herbal teas.
